 Mr. Chan Siu Keung lived in the above apartment and was a client of our integrated home care service. He was suffering from hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and poliomyelitis for years. Besides, he was also a stroke survivor and an amputee. He was now bed-bound and most of his self-care tasks were depended on his ex-wife.

With this severe disability, ex-wife’s caring works was very demanding. To help out transferring tasks, a hospital bed with adjustable height and shower commode chair are recommended. Besides, he needed to be transferred into the toilet for bathing by a commode shower chair. However, due to the existing toilet door, it was hard to so do. In view of his current physical condition and living environment, home modification is recommended as removal of the toilet door and installation of a plastic folding door.
